We welcome you to photo workshops and an information meeting with the Head of the new postgraduate course entitled "Travel and reportage photography" - Grzegorz Lityński. They will take place on January 17, 2019, at 18.00 at the University of Business in Wrocław.

Grzegorz Lityński

A specialist in visual documentation, lecturer in the field of photography with several years of practice. He also has experience as director and manager in research and development field of the pharmaceutical industry. The creator of a number of reports and projects, including those made in cooperation with employees of the University of Wroclaw and Western NGOs, on behalf of which he was taking pictures of the effects of civil war in Sri Lanka in the years 2008-2014.

In 2011-2016 he worked extensively with the Embassy of the Italian Republic in Warsaw, Honorary Consulate of the Italian Republic in Wroclaw and the Institute of Italian Culture in Krakow. Currently, he cooperates, among others with the Prison Service of the Silesian and Opole Districts, photographing the work of convicts in prisons. He regularly conducts training of spokespersons of the Prison Service in the field of documentary photography.

Founder of the School of Photography for Travelers (2005), as part of which he organized group trips to countries like Montenegro, the Czech Republic, Spain, Morocco, Germany, Italy and Tunisia.

He visited more than 75 countries with the camera in his hands. Juror of photographic competitions, author of a number of exhibitions, including: an individual exhibition at the National Center for Culture (2014), an outdoor exhibition as part of the European Capital of Culture (2016), outdoor exhibition in front of the Presidential Palace, opened by the President of the Republic of Poland. Winner of the prestigious BZWBK Press Foto 2014 competition in the "Everyday Life" category. In 2015, he was awarded by the President of the Republic of Poland for "Spreading Polishness on the Edge of the World".

Experienced trainer and lecturer in the field of photography, he led classes, at the University of Wroclaw and the University of Economics in Katowice. Creator and head of postgraduate studies in the field of Travel Photography, Reportage and Documentation of the Higher Technical School (WST) in Katowice. Author of numerous publications, including a textbook for students "Guide for travel photography enthusiasts. Part I - Light ", Wyd. WST, Katowice 2018.
