Bursar's Office and Scholarships

The bursary deals with financial services for students in the following scope:

  • okaccrual of tuition fees and posting of contributions
  • okreceiving and verifying applications for scholarships
  • okrecovery of financial arrears
  • okaccepting cash payments in exceptional circumstances
  • okissuing receipts on payments made on visas or residence cards
  • okaccepting applications addressed to the rector with respect to financial matters

Additional fees are calculated mainly by the Dean's office on the basis of decisions issued by the Dean.

 

  • Each student - a Polish citizen - is assigned an individual account number to which he or she should pay tuition fees and other additional fees in accordance with the Regulations of the Rector with regard to the fees collected, which can be found in the "Important documents" tab.

  • Other students - not being Polish citizens - are obliged to make payments to the following account numbers, depending on the currency chosen:

During the academic year also on some Saturdays. The date of Saturday's standby duty will be announced at the beginning of the academic year.

The applications to the Rector

Application forms to the Rector for matters related to tuition or additional fees, as well as an application for overpayment refund can be downloaded from the bursary or the Virtual Dean's Office in downloadable files or on the University's website in the "Important Documents" tab.

Applications to the Rector must be signed and submitted to the Appeal. The Rector's decisions are recorded in the Virtual Dean's Office in the File/Briefcase tab.

Certificates

Students may obtain a certificate of student status, ZUS/KRUS, bank, residence card, in order to extend their visa, payment of the fees, etc.

In order to do that, students should:

  • send an e-mail to dziekanat@handlowa.eu or kwestura@handlowa.eu, if the certificate concerns financial matters, in which it should contain information about the type of certificate (e.g. in which institution it should be presented) and any additional information it would like it to contain
  • Cost of the certificate (PLN 5 for a certificate in Polish or PLN 20 for a certificate in English)
  • wait for a reply as to whether the conditions for obtaining a certificate have been met and when they can apply for acceptance

We would like to remind you that it is necessary to use the university post office when submitting requests for the preparation of a certificate.

Scholarships

Scholarship for students in difficult financial situation. The criteria is a monthly income per family member. The scholarship is to be allocated on application by the student.

 

Rector's scholarship for the best students

The scholarship is allocated on the basis of the average of studies in a given academic year and scientific, sporting or artistic achievements.

Full-time students may apply for an increase in the amount of a social grant for living outside their place of residence - in a flat or a student dormitory rented in Wrocław.

 

Special scholarship

The scholarship to students with a current disability certificate, regardless of their family income. The scholarship is to be allocated on application by the student.

 

Minister's scholarship

The Minister's scholarship is awarded for achievements in science and outstanding sporting achievements. Applications for the Minister's scholarship shall be submitted by a higher education institution on behalf of a student once the student has provided documentation of his/her achievements.

 

One-time subsistence allowance

Aid for students who find themselves in a difficult financial situation due to random circumstances. It is granted at the student's request, on the basis of documents proving the deterioration of personal or family finances.

 

All grants are allocated by the Grant Committee on the basis of an application submitted to the bursary. Detailed information and conditions for granting grants are specified in the Grant Regulations, which should be available to Students in the first half of September. During this time, applications for individual grants, instructions for filling in applications and any additional information concerning grants for a given academic year will also be available for download.
