"Orange the World" - WSH supports the campaign!
Let's express our opposition to violence together, join the campaign!
"Orange the World" is the world's largest campaign devoted to the topic of violence against women. Soroptimist International (SI), together with the United Nations (UN), carries out the Orange the World campaign around the world, which aims to oppose violence against women.
Sixteen days between November 25 - International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and December 10, - International Human Rights Day, is the time of an information campaign in the press, radio, television and social media, happenings and illuminating buildings. The aim of this action is to draw attention to the problem of physical, mental and economic violence affecting women and girls around the world.
November 25 was declared Orange Day. Orange symbolizes sun, joy, maturity and is recognized all over the world. In Poland and in the world, this day was held under the patronage of the presidents and mayors of many cities. The symbol of joining the campaign is an orange flower or other orange garment. Cities provide public space highlighted in orange expressing their solidarity in this matter.
SOROPTIMIST The Wratislavia Club is part of the Soroptimist International Organization, the aim of which is, inter alia: to act for human rights due to all people, in particular to improve the status of women, contribute to international understanding and friendship, adhere to moral standards in business relations and work and other areas of life. We joined this action because the values that exclude violence are important to us.
