Wroclaw is located in south-western Poland. It is the capital of Lower Silesia and the largest city in western Poland (650 000 citizens). Wroclaw is settled on 12 islands on the Odra river and its four tributaries, connected with 112 bridges. There are many beautiful parks, gardens and green areas within the city boarders.

Wroclaw is often called the meeting place – a mixture of Czech, German, Polish and Jewish tradition has resulted in an unique atmosphere built by traces of the city’s rich past. Wroclaw is located close to several European capitals and has good air connection with major European cities. Millions of tourists visit Wroclaw every year to admire valued heritage sites with modernity. It is needless to say, Wroclaw is the cultural and entertainment capital of Poland – there are 17 museums, 16 theaters, opera and hundreds of clubs, pubs and discos but also many cultural events taking place every year (Vratislavia Cantans, Era New Horizons, Wrostja, Jazz Upon Odra). There are over 150 000 students within 35 Universities in Wroclaw.
